Wheels, tires: visual inspection for damage
Check tires for sufficient tread depth, foreign bodies, pricks, cracks and bulges in the sidewall (ply breakage). Check age of the tires. Replace tires if
necessary.
Checking wheel mounting
Use suitable commercially available tools (wrench size 19 mm) together with a tested torque wrench, covering the range up to 130 Nm (96 ft. lbs.).
Never use an impact bolter.
Do not undo the wheel bolts to check whether they are secure. Tighten the wheel bolts to 130 Nm (96 ft. lbs.) and check that they fit securely.
