Litronic Headlight (Dipped Beam): Troubleshooting
CAUTION:
-
Warning symbol (yellow triangle with black high-voltage arrow) indicates high voltage (danger).
-
When replacing a lamp, turn off the light before opening the headlight.
-
The D2S lamp (gas discharge lamp) must be operated only when installed in the reflector.
-
Always wear gloves when replacing lamps. Do not touch the glass bulb.
-
Always turn off the light when removing and installing components (control unit, trigger device, D2S lamp) (high voltage! danger).
Troubleshooting
NOTE: If the dipped beam (Litronic headlight) is defective, only the individual components can be replaced. The wires and control units are connected
to high voltage. Do not use any measuring device to measure the voltage of wires or control units.
Only battery voltage can be measured ahead of the control unit at pin 2 = 56b and pin 1 = 31 (ground) if the connection has been separated.
