Concern:
After the ignition key is removed, the engine compartment blower motor may run on too long or does not switch off which can cause a discharged
battery. Corrosion in the temperature sensor for the engine compartment blower may be responsible.
General Information:
As of January 1992, the sealing of the sensor contacts and the sensor housing was improved. The sensor with improved sealing is marked as follows:

Temperature sensor tip has white sealer.

Electrical connectors are sealed with transparent sealer.

A green paint dot on sensor housing (temporary).

Production date stamped in black ink in the area of "Hella" marking. From production date 421 (42 = week, 1 = 91 year) indicates new
version sensor.
Repair Information:
Only the new version temperature sensor is available for repairs. When connecting the cable harness to the sensor, be certain the harness connector
sealing gasket is in place.
