This is to not1fy you of an emission related campaign action involving a total of 82 1984 model California equipped Porsche 911 vehicles. Affected
vehicles are identified by vehicle identification number in the Administrative section.
An external routed electrical wire on the emission control unit located under the front drivers seat was inadvertently not connected during production.
The purpose of this action is to plug the two ends or the wire together. Any vehicle affected by this action, which is still your inventory, should be
checked and the wire connected prior to retail delivery.
Note:
All vehicles involved are California equipped Porsche 911 vehicles. This notice is intended for information only for dealers who did not receive any
of the affected vehicles.
Owner Notification
VWoA, Inc. will notify and request owners or retailed vehicles to make their Porsche available for correction as soon as possible but not later than their
first scheduled maintenance service.
Work procedure
Connect the externally routed wire to the ECU under the drivers seat.
Parts Requirements
Parts are not required for this action.
Time Allowance
The time allowance for the completion of the wire connection is 20 T.U.
