Clicking noises from the seat subframe in manually or electrically adjustable seats.
Information:
Clicking noises may occur from the seat sub-frame under these conditions:
When entering the vehicle During driving (curves, uneven road surfaces)
When adjusting the seat longitudinally (with manual adjustment)
When the rear edge of the seat is in its lowest position (with electrical adjustments)
Only model year 2001 vehicles are affected. Vehicles have been modified in production from the end of February 2001.

Work Procedure:
First determine which type of seat is in the vehicle. For a manual adjusted seat, perform steps 1, 2, and 3. For an electrically adjusted seat, perform steps
2, 3, and 4. The seat must be moved in its upper most position before it is removed. Once the seat is removed, remove the seat cushion carrier.
Do not disassemble the cushion carrier with the seat cushion and the wiring harnesses any further.
