Concerns:

Rear apron (referred to below as "bumper"):

- Tow hook cover.

Information:

Cover is sticking out from the bumper on one side.

The towing lug cover may be sticking out from the bumper at one side.

This is due to the narrow installation space and the tension on the rebound strap used to press the cover out of its catch.

This affects vehicles produced at start of production (SOP) for model year 2010 (A).

Action Required:

In the event of a complaint, rework the rebound strap for the cover.

Work Procedure:

Remove cover:

Press the bottom of the towing lug cover into the bumper until it disengages.

Bend the rebound strap for the cover over at a right angle - as shown in Figure 1 - with your hand (without using any tools).

The height of the bend must be the same or less than the height of the locking lug X (--).

Install cover:

Fit the cover at the bottom of the cut-out. Close the cover and engage it by pressing it in at the top.
