Removing And Installing Convertible-top Compartment Lid Drive

Removing motor for convertible-top compartment lid drive

1. Moving convertible top to service position.
2. Removing cover over the motor

To loosen the carpet, pull out the plastic clips with the special tool and fold back the carpet over the drive -4-.

3. Removing motor

Unscrew both fastening nuts -1- and disconnect the electrical plug connection -2- from the control unit. Pull the motor backwards out of the
bracket and loosen and remove the hexagon thread bolts -3-.

Pull motor forwards out of the toothing.
