Connect the Porsche System Tester II 9588, switch on the ignition and start the automatic control module search.

Select vehicle type 911 (996) and control module instrument cluster.

Select menu item "On-Board Computer".

Select the respective menu item with/without on-board computer and code with F8 key.

This menu item enables the instrument cluster to be activated or deactivated. The deactivated instrument cluster is converted into the low-current mode
(production mode) and can be automatically activated under the menu item
Vehicle hand-over.
