Installing holder 1 (variant 2)

Case 2: Axial play greater than wear limit (more than 3.5 mm)
Use the same procedure as for Case 1 (install holder -1- with the relevant parts, instead of the retainer plate).
Also replace the pressure line -5 and 6-.
Do not re-install previously fitted lock on plug-in coupling (in variant 1)!
The pressure line -6- runs above the transmission as far as the plug-in coupling at the connection point in the rear door sill area. To replace the
pressure line -6-, the engine and transmission must be removed.

Opening plug-in coupling
1. Open plug-in coupling on the pressure line.
1.1.
Remove the lock and then loosen (unscrew) the plug-in coupling. Turn the screw -9- while loosening the coupling. Counter at the hexagon on
the plug-in coupling -10- when doing this.
1.2.
Collect hydraulic fluid in a container.
1.3.
Remove collar of holder and screw -9- from the pressure line.
2. Remove the retainer plate -7- after you have loosened the Torx screw -8-.

3. Fit plug-in coupling (screw it together). To do this, insert the collar of the holder and tighten the screw (tightening torque: 30 Nm/22 ftlb.).
Counter at the lower hexagon on the plug-in coupling while tightening the screw.
