2. Press the reservoir with new O-ring (coat lightly with Pentosin) into the hydraulic pump (power-steering pump) and fit the fastening screws
-arrows-. The screw on the holder may be fitted from the right or left side. Tightening torque M8 = 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)/M6 = 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.).
3. Clip hose onto reservoir holder (rear of reservoir).
4. Fit return line(s) to reservoir.
5. For manual transmission vehicles, fit the clutch pressure lines -1- (tightening torque M10 x 1 = 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)/M12 x 1 = 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)) and
push into clip -2-. Ensure perfect seating.
6. Fit steering pressure line -A- onto adapter -B- (screw together / tightening torque 30 Nm (22 ftlb.)).
When using a new adapter (new short pressure line to the hydraulic pump) -B- the connection (plug-in coupling) is already screwed together including
the retaining collar. In this case, line -A- is only inserted onto line -B- in a straight line (engaged)! Before doing this, retaining collar and screw
connection must be removed from line -A-!
Subsequent work for installing hydraulic pump
1. Fit pulley on the hydraulic pump (3 screws). Fit and tension the drive belt.
