To eliminate rattling and improve sliding quality of door windows, the window guide felt pad material has been changed in production as of:

VIN 92DS861622 / 19 April, 1983

New guides are available as replacement parts, Part number: 928.537.085.03
Window guide, installing

-

roll window completely down

-

remove door panel

-

remove inner door window-slot seal

Note

Do not remove seal completely. Only remove as far as necessary to provide access to guides

-

insert 10 mm wrench through door window slot and onto bolt securing guide

-

loosen bolts and remove guides

-

install new guides and adjust close to glass

-

operate window and readjust guides, if necessary

-

reinstall door panel
