928 S V8-4957cc 5.0L (1985)
The toothed drive belt tensioning roller carrier and the bearing sleeves on the water pump body were modified beginning with 1985 model cars. Only the
new carrier, Part Number 928 105 540 05, is available as spare part.
In case of repairs on cars before 1985 model year, this carrier must be installed in conjunction with 2 new bearing sleeves, Part Number 928 105 613 01.
Bearing pin, Part Number 928 105 570 03, must be used additionally on engines before 1982 models.
Old bearing sleeve, Part Number 999 924 003 40, remains available as a spare part. Mixed installation of old and new parts is not possible.
Installation Note:
To avoid damage, the new bearing sleeves must be pressed in with the help of the bearing pin. The sleeves must not be knocked in.
