To eliminate isolated chain tensioner noises, which were caused by a displaced vent plate, the vent plate was replaced by a spring guide (see drawing).
As of March 12, 1985, Engine No. 81 F00515 81 F06040
In case of repairs, the new spring guide can be installed in older cars.
