1.
Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assembly.
2.
Disconnect hydraulic line and the wear indicator warning contact.
3.
Remove housing attaching bolts and the housing assembly.
4.
Remove housing retaining spring, Fig. 7.
5.
Pull plugs out of guides and remove guide pins.
6.
Remove housing, then take outboard brake pad out of holder and pull inboard brake pad out of piston.
7.
Support piston firmly on piece of wood and press piston halfway out of housing with compressed air, take sealing lip of dust cover out of piston
groove, then press piston fully out of housing.
8.
Remove seal with a plastic needle.
9.
Apply a very thin coat of brake cylinder paste on cylinder bore, piston and seal.
10.
Push dust cover on inside of piston far enough that large diameter sealing lip extends over piston.
11.
Press sealing lip of dust cover into housing groove with piston in approximately correct position, ensuring seal fits properly around its entire
periphery.
12.
Press piston slowly into housing, ensuring small diameter sealing lip settles in groove of piston.
13.
Adjust 20° piston position precisely with piston pliers, ensuring set back surface of piston faces down to brake disc inlet side.
14.
bolt holder to housing, insert brake pads and housing retaining springs.
15.
Install housing assembly, then connect hydraulic line and wear sensor warning contact.
16.
Bleed brake system.
