For M.Y. 1983 Model 944, catalytic converter PN 944 111 989 00 was installed. This part is no longer available. With this converter, the CO sample
connection was found on the converter housing.

Available as a spare part catalytic converter PN 944 111 989 01 should be installed. With this converter, a CO sample tube is installed leading into the
engine compartment.

When installing this converter into older cars, the following additional parts must be ordered:
