Turbocharger Coolant Pump: Service and Repair

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable, the remove air intake snorkel from air filter casing.

2.

Remove bypass air valve vacuum connections.

3.

Remove hose clamps from boost air pipe, throttle housing and bypass air valve.

4.

Loosen hose clamps on air intake cowl, then remove hose connections from cowl. Remove cowl.

5.

Clamp turbo coolant hoses near pump to prevent coolant loss.

6.

Disconnect coolant pump electrical connector, then remove pump attaching bolts.

7.

Loosen coolant pipe clamp, then pull hose and pump towards front of vehicle.

8.

Remove lower hose clamp from pump, then pull off hose and remove pump.

9.

Reverse procedure to install.
