Subject:
Installed Position of the Heater Valve
ATTENTION: Service Manager / Service Technician
Models Affected:
968 Model Years 1992- 1995
General Information:
If the heater valve is incorrectly positioned after replacement, the hall sender wires could chaff on the heater valve vacuum module and may become
damaged.
Should replacement of the heater valve, part number, 928 574 573 O3 become necessary, the heater valve should be positioned in such a way that the
wires for the hall sender will have adequate clearance from the vacuum module of the heater valve.
Repair Information:
Inspect the heater valve and hall sender wiring (arrow in figure 1) for damage. Also inspect the heater valve vacuum module for damage. If necessary,
replace affected components.
If the wires for the hall sender are touching the heater valve, provide clearance by carefully twisting the plug connector bracket down and inward.
