Multiple Junction Connector: Description and Operation

The Boxster's electric on-board network has been newly designed and has a power distributor.

It is installed at the bulkhead below the control panel in the passenger's footwell.

Features:

Division of the on-board network areas and the connection of the areas directly to the position battery terminal results in a considerable reduction
in the generator ripple content.
An effective protection against two-way interference injection was also possible.

Additional protection against short-circuits in the main power circuits.

Protective isolation of the lighting circuits for parking lights, driving lights, and hazard warning lights so that the two remaining lighting circuits
can continue to function if one power circuit should fail.

NOTE:

Work on the power distributor may be performed by authorized Porsche customer service personnel only.

Opening the power distributor destroys a sealing label attached by the manufacturer. When work has been completed, a special customer service
label must be attached to the power distributor.
