Checking Function Of Heating For Rear Window

NOTE:  The function of the heating for the rear window (hardtop) can be checked with a temperature probe with digital display. The indicator light in
the rocker switch also lights up if a fault is present and the heating wires in the rear window do not warm up.

Checking With The Temperature Probe

1. Use the tip of the sensor to measure from the outside on the centre of the rear window.
2. The tip of the sensor must be positioned exactly on a heating wire on the rear window.
3. After switching the rear window heater on at room temperature, the temperature must increase by approximately 3 degree C within two minutes.
4. If no temperature increase is shown, the fault must be detected on the basis of the wiring diagram.
