Installing KESSY/PAS control unit

WARNING:
Risk of damage to electronic control modules.

If care is not taken, electrical and electronic components may be destroyed.

Before removing the control module, switch off the ignition and remove the ignition key.

INFORMATION:  Depending on the vehicle equipment, the control unit has one or two connectors.

1. Press both electrical connectors -1, 2- into control unit and lock them until they are felt to engage.

2. Engage control unit in support for wiring harness with both retaining lugs.

3. Clip in control unit on the support for the steering wiring and engage the locking mechanism for the lock.

Programming new KESSY/PAS control unit

INFORMATION:

All original keys are required for teaching.

If a new KESSY/PAS control unit is installed in a vehicle, the immobiliser code, Teach Enable Code (TEC), ELV Secret Key, Transponder
password and Transponder Secret Key specified in IPAS must be entered.

You can get the codes from IPAS or from your importer by specifying the vehicle identification number.
During programming, it is essential to guarantee the power supply for the Porsche System tester. It is essential to connect a battery charger with a current
rating of at least 40 A to the vehicle battery.
The Porsche System Tester instructions take precedence and in the event of a discrepancy these are the instructions that must be followed. Deviations
may occur with later software versions.

In order to guarantee the function of the control unit after teaching, the coding value in the old control unit must be read out or determined again. This
value must be written into the new control unit after teaching.
