Preliminary Work - Remove transmission. See workshop manual "343519 Removing and installing transmission chapter on "removing"
1.
Unscrew fastening screw between transmission bracket and transmission housing and remove transmission bracket.
2.
Remove gear shift lock device from the transmission housing using a slide hammer VW 771/1 and puller T40054
3.
Remove selector lock device from the transmission housing using a slide hammer VW 771/1 and puller T40054.
