5. Clean the oil pan thoroughly. Remove silicone residue. A special plastic brush for drills can be used for this purpose.
Installing oil pan
ATTENTION Engine damage due to clogged suction line of oil pump!

The bead of sealing compound must not be thicker than 2-3 mm, as otherwise excess sealing compound will enter the oil pan and can clog the
strainer in the intake pipe of the oil pump.
1. Apply a bead of silicone sealant 000.043.300.39 all around the cleaned and degreased oil pan. Run the bead of sealant past the screw holes on the
inside.
2. Press the oil pan against the crankcase. Then tighten the fastening screws in the sequence shown. Tightening torque: 12 (9 ft-lb.) Nm
