Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

Removing And Installing Air Flow Sensor

Preliminary work

1. Remove front and left engine compartment covers.
2. Pull design cover straight up and off.

Removing air flow sensor

NOTE:  The air flow sensor and air guide pipe are removed and installed as a single component.

1. Remove connecting tube from the air cleaner to the engine. To do so, loosen the hose clamp on the throttle adjuster and pull off the pipe.

Disconnect cable plug from air flow sensor.

2. Disconnect connections on air cleaner lid. To do this, turn the pins by 180 degrees and pull them out. Now pull off the connecting tube.
