Airbag Fault Code: Seat-belt Buckle Switch 0591/0592 (7/09)

Seat-belt buckle on front seat

Information:

Airbag warning light comes on.

Fault code 0591 and/or 0592 (Belt buckle switch on driver's or passenger's side) in airbag control unit.

We have discovered that airbag control units have been replaced due to fault codes 0591 and/or 0592. Tests carried out on control units for which these
fault codes have shown that over 90 % of the control units were OK.

Information

Correct fault code 0591/0592 using the PIWIS Tester 9718 by following the "Guided Fault Finding" instructions.

If this is a repeat repair, please contact the Technical Hotline.

Please be advised that warranty claims for airbag control unit replacement will be rejected, if it turns out that the airbag control unit tested "OK".
