Eliminating Noise Symptoms - Reworking The Fuse Box

Symptoms

Rattling/buzzing noises from around the fuse box.

Causes and remedial action

Rattling/buzzing noises can be heard while driving due to tolerances between the fuse box (housing) and slides.

In the event of a complaint, the slides must be affixed to the fuse box to remedy the situation on vehicles manufactured before the date of introduction
February 2006.

Removing cover for instrument panel

1. Removing cover for instrument panel

1.1. Unclip cover for instrument panel -1- using a plastic wedge at the retaining clips -2- (-arrow A-) and swivel it out.
1.2. Remove cover for instrument panel -1- to the rear -arrow B-.

Reworking the fuse box

1. Affix slides -1- on the fuse box -2- using a hot bonding gun.
