3.3. Remove the joint seal on the inside across its entire width as far as the adhesive tape using a spatula.
3.4. Treat all bore holes with corrosion protection and then paint the bore holes to match the vehicle's colour code using a touch-up stick.

3.5. Paint the visible part of the joint seal with a touch-up stick.
3.6. Clean the surface of the rear lid and remove the protective covering (paper or film) from the luggage compartment.
3.7. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove metal chips.

Subsequent work
