Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf ): Service and Repair
Front Spring Replace
1.
Raise and support vehicle, then remove front wheels.
2.
Position suitable jack under lower ball joint and raise suspension until vehicle is lifted from vehicle support on that side.
3.
Compress coil spring using suitable spring compressor, then lower suspension until spring is freed from upper spring cup.
4.
Loosen stabilizer bar link to lower shock absorber mounting bolt, then disconnect upper end of shock absorber.
5.
Disconnect lower end of shock absorber by holding locknut and rotating shock absorber until spring, compressor tool and shock absorber can be
removed as an assembly.
6.
Reverse procedure to install.
