F. Heater Core Removal

From within the passenger compartment, cut the heater core nipples off with a hacksaw blade or similar tool. Cut the nipples flush with the heater
core to assure room to remove the old core. (Fig. 13). Push the cut-off heater core nipples and bulkhead seal out into the engine compartment and
discard the cut off nipples and seal.

Disconnect the heater core retaining clips (Fig. 13).

Hold the steering shaft down onto the floor and pull the heater core to the left out of the heater housing. (Note: Care should be used not to break
the heater housing).
G. Install Supplied Heater Core

Remove approximately 1/4 inch of plastic from the front of the heater core box (Fig. 14). Work from the engine compartment through the
bulkhead hole and use a suitable tool such as a half round file. This will allow clearance for the connectors to engage the heater core nipples.
