Install the console side panel and install the Vehicle Emission Control Information Update Label, part number 8933 000 525, next to the
original emission control label.
This adjustment applies to 1984 California only Fuego Turbo 136A models that were sold for principal use at altitudes below 4,000 feet. Refer to
the Vehicle Emission Control Label in the engine compartment to identify these vehicles.
NOTE:
Whenever these vehicles are returned to operation at altitudes below 4,000 feet the altitude compensating resistor connector board must
be removed from the fuel injection circuit and Vehicle Emission Control Update Label part number 8933 000 525, must be removed.
On California only 136A models originally sold for operation at altitudes above 4,000 feet that are being operated at altitudes below 4,000 feet, the
altitude compensating resistor connector board must be disconnected from the fuel injection circuit.

Remove the side panel from the passenger side of the console.
2.
Remove the protective sheath from the connector (see illustration).
3.
Remove the resistor connector board from the fuel injection harness connector. Place the connector board in the glove box or give it to the
owner for future reuse.
4.
Install the console side panel and install Vehicle Emission Control Information Update label, part number 8933 000 526, next to the original
emission control label.
