Brake Drum: Service and Repair
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
Raise and support vehicle.
3.
Remove tire and wheel assembly.
4.
Loosen parking brake secondary cable.
5.
Remove stub axle grease cup, hub nut and washer.
6.
Remove drum assembly. If brake drum is difficult to remove, retract the brake shoes. Remove access plug located at rear of support plate. Using a
suitable tool, loosen automatic adjuster lever and back off adjuster screw.
7.
Reverse procedure to install.
