Remove the protective shipping caps from the supplied heater core and insert the core into the heater housing.

Install the supplied retaining plate on the core and secure it to the heater box using the two screws provided (Fig. 15).
NOTE:
For vehicles other than 1983 through 1986 model year with 1.4L engines, see special instructions in Sections II and III of this procedure for
installation of the quick-connects and hoses.

From the engine compartment attach the two supplied quick-connects to the heater core nipples (Figs. 15 and 16).
