Remove large diameter outer bushing using puller adapter A, then remove smaller diameter bushing with adapter B, Fig. 3.

Inspect bushing seats, retainers and contact surfaces in each tube, and replace axle tube assembly if damaged or excessively worn.

Fabricate installer from length of steel tube or pipe 2 inches in diameter, start small bushing into tube by hand, then press bushing in to a depth of
7±.078 inches (178 mm±2 mm).
5.
Fabricate installer from length steel tube or pipe 2.44 inches in diameter, start large bushing into tube by hand, then press bushing in to a depth of
.590±.078 inch (15 mm±2 mm).
6.
Install new axle tube seal.
7.
Lubricate bushings with Molykote 33 medium or equivalent, then assemble axle tubes, pressing then together as far as possible by hand.
8.
Reverse remaining procedure to complete installation.
