FRONT SEATS
Information
The front seat cover backing material on some L42-M42 models, may not adhere to the velcro retaining strips on the foam seat pads. This could result in
an appearance problem if the seat cover comes loose.
This condition can be corrected by securing the cover to the foam pads with double faced tape available at local jobbers. Refer to the following
procedure for repair methods.

File this I.S. Note at the back of the plastic binder supplied with your M.R. 241 Manual.
PROCEDURE
1.
Remove the front seat. Refer to page P-41 of the M.R. 241 manual.
2.
Remove the seat cushion. Then peel the seat and/or seat back cover half-way off the foam pad.
3.
Install four strips of 1/2-inch wide, 3M-950 double faced tape on the foam pad alongside each velcro retaining strip. Apply the 1/2-inch wide strips
side by side. Use 10-inch long strips on the seat cushion pad and 16-inch long strips on the seat back pad.
NOTE:
For an effective repair, the total width of the tape strips must be at least two inches. Apply multiple strips, side by side, to get the necessary
minimum two-inch width.
4.
Peel the protective backing off the tape strips and reinstall the seat cushion and/or seat back cover. Be sure the cover(s) are correctly positioned
before pressing them into place on the pad and tape strips.
5.
Reassemble and install the seat. Tighten the seat retaining bolts with 25-35 N-m (19-26 footpounds) torque.
