Front Steering Knuckle: Service and Repair
1.
Remove hub cap, then loosen but do not remove drive axle nut.
2.
Raise vehicle, support lower control arms and remove wheel.
3.
Remove brake pads, then the caliper mounting bolts, and secure caliper aside taking care not to stretch brake hose.
4.
Remove drive axle nut, bolts securing rotor to hub, then the rotor.
5.
Remove 6 wheel bearing retaining nuts through opening in hub, then remove hub and bearing as an assembly.
6.
Disconnect tie rod and the upper and lower ball joints, then remove steering knuckle.
7.
Reverse procedure to install.
