Main task
Amplify the antenna signal from the antennas on the side windows. The diversity amplifier sends on the strongest FM signal.
Type
Output amplifier to strengthen a weak incoming antenna signal to a stronger signal that the infotainment head unit can use. The antenna amplifier has a
switch function that together with the radio selects the best FM signal from FM 1 or FM 2.
Connection
The antenna amplifier is supplied trigger voltage from pin 13 of the infotainment head unit and is grounded by being secured to the chassis. The
strengthened antenna signal is taken out and fed to the antenna connection on the infotainment head unit via a coaxial cable.
