Language for telephone
The language for the texts displayed in the SID and ICM display depends on the language selection made in SID under the menu System setting.
The language for voice control is governed by the telematics unit software version. The telematics unit CU GSM is in 6 different language variants (UK
English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Swedish) and the unit CU AMPS is in 2 different variants (US English and Canadian French).
However, the telematics unit can only contain one language. The unit must be SPS programmed in order to change language.
The software for CU GSM is available on IRIS from and including T152000 edition 2003-4 Update 2 (or later).
