Cars with older version of electronic control module: Replace the electronic control module with a new one (part no. 12803356).

SPS programme the REC using the correct software in accordance with TIS2000. Use TIS 2004-5 or later.

Check whether the trailer/caravan lighting is working.

If the trailer/caravan position lights are still intermittent then the fault is in the trailer/caravan wiring harness.

Note

The electronic control module cannot cope with electrical loads above 100 watts.

The car only has support for trailers/caravans which are connected in accordance with ISO 1724 (7-pin) or ISO 11446 (13-pin). Intermittent
position lights may arise on trailers/caravans not conforming to this ISO standard even if the car has the new electronic control module for
