Convertible Top Cable: Adjustments
Adjusting The Soft Top Side Cable
1. Close the soft top.
2. Remove the two bolts and the clip securing the headlining to the rear rail.
3. Open the soft top midway and secure the soft top using 82 93 144 Holder, hydraulic soft top
4. Slacken the bolt which attaches the cable to the rear rail so that the cable's attaching lug moves freely.
5. Pull the cable attaching lug as far rearwards as possible so that the bolt abuts the front end of the attaching lug groove.
6. Tighten the bolt.
Tightening torque: 12 Nm
7. Turn the bolt an additional 120 degrees - 170 degrees.
8. Remove the soft top support and close the soft top. Do not lock the soft top in the windscreen frame.
9. Tighten the bolt.
Tightening torque: 12 Nm
10. Manoeuvre the soft top through at least 5 complete cycles in order to check soft top function.
