51 16 629 Side window with front seal, RH

Procedure

1. Open the front right door and raise the rear side window.
2. Carefully bend the upper edge of the B-pillar cover outwards. Check the gap between the weatherstrip and the cover.

If the size of the gap is less than 1 mm, proceed to step 4.
If the size of the gap exceeds 1 mm, proceed to step 3.

3. Bend out the upper edge of the cover and lower the window in short movements (2-3 cm at a time). Check for contact between the weatherstrip

and the cover's metal core; both components should not be tightly fitted against one another. If resistance between the components is excessive,
proceed to step 4. Otherwise, proceed to step 5.

4. Lower the rear side window completely. Carefully bend out the metal core with pliers so that the upper edge protrudes approximately 1 mm

outwards.
