A hardware fault in the antenna can cause the navigation system to receive an incorrect GPS signal. The symptom is incorrect indication of car
position on the screen.

Procedure:

Replace the GPS antenna.

Note:

New improved GPS antenna introduced as of VIN 41027395 (4D).

ICM 3 - Irritating lines appear on the display

Cars affected:
Saab 9-3 (9440)

Background:

A display error can cause thick, irritating lines and/or flickering.

Procedure:

Replace the ICM display.

Note:

ICM 3 navigation - System restarts

Cars affected:
Saab 9-3 (9440) M05

Background:

ICM3 restarts while driving (Loading System" appears on the display).

Procedure:

Update ICM software (VIP and OCP).

ICM 3 navigation - Function freezes

Background:

While driving, the entire navigation display freezes and there are no further updates.

Procedure:

Update ICM software (VIP and OCP).
