Windshield: Description and Operation
Windscreen
The windscreen is a part of the Saab 9-3 load-bearing structure. The windscreen significantly contributes to the torsional stiffness of the body. Its design
and mounting has been carefully tested to meet with laws regarding impact safety. The airbags are supported by the windscreen when they are inflated. It
is therefore very important that the windscreen is correctly mounted, both for the function of the car and the safety of its occupants. The only glass
adhesive that has been crash tested and approved for after market use is Betamate E 2400.
IMPORTANT: Windows must be glued with Betamate E 2400 according to instructions in order for Saab Automobile AB to accept
responsibility for guaranteeing a continued high degree of safety after window replacement.
