Note

From VIN 17004113 up to and including VIN 17012859, this extra ground cable was installed in production. From VIN 17012860, a software
upgrade to the STC makes this extra ground no longer necessary.

Background

The soft top may stop halfway during closing or opening and the SID unit shows the following message: CHECK SOFT TOP. The following diagnostic
trouble codes are generated: B2015 and B2016. The cause may be that the hydraulic cylinder's rod does not have sufficient contact with ground. To
obtain solid contact, an extra ground cable can be installed between the 5th bow's mounting and the cylinder.

In case of customer complaints, proceed as follows.

Procedure

This service information requires that the following diagnostic trouble codes have been generated: B2015 and B2016.

Operate the soft top to a position where the 5th bow and soft top cover are standing vertically.
