Oil pump

To remove (in car)

1. Remove the engine cover. Take out the dipstick and put a rag in the pipe. Fit the lifting beam part no. 83 94 850 and take up the weight of the

engine.

2. Remove the center bolt in the rear engine mounting.

IMPORTANT:  The bellows on the exhaust pipe is sensitive to bending and must not be exerted to angles over approx. 5° as this will cause
permanent deformation.
Do not allow the catalytic converter to hang from the bellows.

3. Remove the bypass pipe and heat shield over the exhaust manifold.
4. Disconnect the oxygen sensor cables, undo the clip and the top cable clamp.

IMPORTANT:  The cables must not be twisted. Twisted cables in combination with vibration may cause breaks in the cables. The oxygen sensor
is sensitive to blows and knocks and must be handled with care.
