The front seat belts are one-hand operated three-point seat belts. Each belt consists of a reel with seat-belt tensioner, sensor, belt, belt cover, strap guide,
belt tongue and end fitting.
The reel is fitted with a locking system that prevents further unwinding once locked. The locking system is controlled by two independent activating
systems, of which one is sensitive to vehicle deceleration and the other to a certain belt acceleration.
The top strap anchorage (the strap guide) on the B-pillar is adjustable in 5 different heights within a range of 94 mm. The advantage of this being that
short people will not have the belt pressing against their neck.
The lap strap anchorage and the lock are located on the seat chassis. This means that the lock is always in the same lengthwise position, irrespective of
the position of the seat. The lock has a double-lock function, which means that the lock catch, when locked, is blocked by a pin. The pin is opened with
the normal release button. The lock is available with or without an electrical dashboard warning function.
