Diagnostic help

Check that the recirculation flap is in the fresh-air position when the recirculation button is not pushed in so that the recirculation motor is electrically
reversed.

Diagnostic procedure

1. Checking control voltage to recirculation flap motor

Turn the ignition key to the ON position.

-

Unplug the connector: Motor, air recirculation flap: (38).

-

Connect test lamp 86 11 857 between the pins 1 and 2 in the female connector.

-

Turn the air recirculation on and off repeatedly.

-

The red and green LED on the test lamp should go on alternately as air recirculation is turned on and oft.

Tests OK?
YES

Replace : Motor, air recirculation flap.
