The drive shaft universal joint is protected by a rubber gaiter, and is filled with a synthetic special grease which contains molybdenum disulphide.
The drive shaft universal joint is friction welded to the front pipe section of the propeller shaft and constitutes one unit together with the propeller
shaft.
