Throttle Body: Service and Repair

WARNING
Be careful if the car is warm. The coolant is hot and there is a risk of burns from the intake manifold.

To remove

1. Turn the ignition to the OFF position.

2. Remove the engine cover.
3. Undo the coolant expansion tank cap to release any pressure and then retighten it.
4. Remove the turbo delivery pipe complete with bypass pipe and bypass valve.
5. Remove the cover on the throttle body pedal arm.

6. Detach the hose for the bypass valve.

7. Detach the accelerator pedal wire from the throttle body pedal arm.
8. Lift off the rubber seal and unplug the limp-home solenoid connector.
9. Unplug the throttle body 10-pin connector.

10. Undo the 3 throttle body retaining screws.
