Trunk / Liftgate Latch: Service and Repair

Tailgate Lock

To remove

1. Open the tailgate.
2. Remove the tailgate trim.
3. Remove the push rods for the lock (2 clips) and leave them suspended in the plastic hinge respective door handle. Also unplug the connector for

the lock.

4. Remove the retainer bolts from the lock (3 bolts).
5. Remove the door lock by carefully lifting it out.
