Receiver Dryer: Service and Repair

Removing

Drain refrigerant from the A/C system, see Refrigerant, A/C/Service and Repair.

Remove the grille.

Remove the bolts holding the pipes for the receiver.

Remove the bolt securing the receiver to the holder on the condenser.

Lift up the receiver.

Plug the openings.

Fitting

Fill compressor oil in the pipe leading to the receiver, see Air Conditioning Compressor/Compressor Oil/Service and Repair.

Fit the receiver in the holder.

Fit new O-rings on the pipes for the receiver. Lubricate the O-rings with synthetic vaseline.

Fit the pipes and tighten the bolts.
Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.6 lbf ft).

Tighten the bolt securing the receiver on the condenser.

Vacuum pump the A/C system and fill refrigerant, see Refrigerant, A/C/Service and Repair.

7

Refit the grille.
