Procedure

Check box A2 of the modification identity plate before preceding. Check to see if the banjo bolt installed in the car has a yellow paint mark. Continue as
follows if the box has not been marked or there is no paint mark on the banjo bolt. Check the IRIS On-Line Recall & Service Campaign Inquiry for open
campaigns.

1.

Undo and bend aside the main fuse box, and fasten using strap 83 95 212.

2.

Pinch off the power steering return hose with suitable soft tooth hose clip pliers.

Bear in mind that the power steering system is vary sensitive to dust and dirt. Therefore, maintain the utmost cleanliness when working on the power
steering system.

3.

Clean around the banjo bolt.

4.

Place a rag under the connections, to collect any fluid.

Cars with manual gearbox: Take care not to damage the master clutch cylinder.
